When your feeling down

Things have been a bit stressful this last week. I feel like I have 23,756 things to do! ahaha....If its not school kicking my butt or me having to deal with Jordan messing around at his school. I feel like sometimes things aren't going my way. And sometimes it seems like me and my boyfriend both get into a slump at the same time.

Just the other morning I woke up not feeling in the mood to go to school (and i think my boyfriend sensed it). My boyfriend played this song that morning and it reminded me that I'm never struggling alone because God is helping me. I sometimes tend to forget this. So this song really helped me out. I hope those of you who listen to it can hear what is being said and find the strength that God is giving you to. And just keep pushing. And if there is anything that you feel like you can't handle on you own let God handle it for you.

This song is my new go to song when I'm feeling defeated.

Growing up!

Today is my beautiful niece Lissett's Birthday! HOORAY! She turns 9 and is blossoming more and more into a beautiful young girl. I was so excited to go and spend Saturday with her to celebrate her special day. Her theme for the party was puppies♥...isn't that just the cutest and most unique theme? And she had it at the most fun place possible for a nine year old....the Roller Skating Rink! This place also had some batting cages that my boyfriend, my son Jordan, my cousin Jenny and I tried out. Here are some pictures of that day. :)

I hit THREE balls out of 20. hahaha. Not bad for my first time. I didn't get any pictures of anyone roller skating but I'm happy to report no one fell down. heehee

New, New, New

A new semester has started and I'm excited to get back into the grove of things. Don't get me wrong I loved my break off from school as much as the next person. BUT I feel like I'm wasting time when I'm not doing anything. hahaha...

I have gotten a few new things sense my last post. I have moved into a new apartment and with a new apartment comes shopping for new household items. This year I have told myself I want my home to be more organized. So I went to Big Lots and bought a whole bunch of things to get organized. All I need to do is start unpacking. hehe

Now I know it seems like with every post I do, I buy something new for myself. Wellll....this is because I love to buy new things!! I have really been wanting to try the new Revlon Scented nail polishes. So when I was at Walgreen's the other day I seen them there and HAD to buy one! I got....

I LOVE LOVE love this color! Its like a Barbie pink and it does smell like bubble gum which is suppose to last TEN days. You can still smell it even after you apply a top coat on the nail. There are 16 colors in this collection. Let me know which one you have and what you think about it.

Treasures of the Month

This posted has been on my do to list for about two weeks. LOL I wanted to share with everyone the best ten dollars I have spent. I was suppose to do this two weeks ago, BUT my package got delayed twice!

Any-who! It's here now. So let me give a little description about what this is. Last month I signed up to receive a Birchbox once a month for only ten dollars! Grandmother

On this day three years ago, my family lost a very special women...Mama Zoila. She was many things to many people. But to me she was sweet and kind and loving. Today I was reminded of the way she smelled. That fresh scent that no matter how many candles or perfumes I experience I can never find that smell anywhere. I thought of how she kept her nails long, pointed and always painted. (I think this is why I like to do my nails now). How she always wore her flower printed dresses no matter what day it was.  I have memories of the way her room looked and all of the pictures she had of her children and grandchildren hanging on the walls. The way she did my hair when I was a little girl. Always in braids!

So many memories of us going out to run errands and catching the bus around the city. And she would always buy me something nice to take back home with me. I miss these days the most! Even though she had more grandchildren than we can count haha..she always treated each one of us with the same amount of love! 

I miss the days she would cook for us. It may have not been anything special at the time but I now realized that the warm bowel of beans was her way of showing us that she cared! I can remember it like it was yesterday...as she cooked she danced to music coming from the little radio in the kitchen.

Although Mama Zoila is gone she is only a thought away. I will miss her forever but I will never forget her. I will always love her!

Windy Weather

Today was one of those extremely windy days. One of those days where its too cold to go outside, so you try to find everything and anything to do indoors to keep yourself from going crazy. haha It was so windy I thought my wind chime was going to brake my window. hahaha Since I am on my winter break from school I have lots of time on my hands because it's not filled with books!
So what did I do all day long, you ask?

• Cleaned my house
• watched T.V.
• played PSP with my son
• browsed the internet A LOT!

This is when I realized, I need a hobby. hahaha I do pencil drawings a little bit. I mean I never finish any drawings that I start, BUT it is something I call a "hobby." Maybe I'll take up knitting...
